Use claims to protect your land and builds. Only you and players you trust can build, break blocks, open containers, or use other blocks inside them.
What a Claim Protects
Your claim protects everything between its two outside corners, from the bottom of the world to the top. Explosions and monsters cannot damage blocks inside it. Pistons and fire cannot cross its border, and water or lava cannot flow out of it.
You can build outside a claim, but your build will not be protected. A warning appears when you build on unclaimed land.
Creating a Claim
Open /claims and click an Available Claim spot to get a Golden Shovel. You can also use /claim tool.
1. Hold the Golden Shovel and right-click the first corner.
2. Walk to the opposite corner and right-click again.
3. Check the glowing border and the information in chat.
4. Click [claim] or use /claim confirm.
A claim must be at least 10 × 10 blocks, cannot overlap another claim, and must fit inside your Land Capacity. Left-click with the Golden Shovel or use /claim cancel to clear the selection.
New claims receive a simple name such as claim1. You can rename them later.
Land Capacity and Claim Spots
Each 1 × 1 block uses 1 Land Capacity. Height costs nothing extra.
- You start with 10,000 Land Capacity
- You gain 500 Land Capacity for every full hour you play
- You start with 1 claim spot
Each separate claim needs one spot. Hold a Claim Slot Token and right-click to add another. These tokens can be traded or sold.
Your claims on different Pixel Retreat servers count together. Use /claim capacity to check your Land Capacity and claim spots.
Managing Your Claims
Open /claims to see where your claims are, how large they are, and when they were created.
- Left-click: rename a claim
- Shift + right-click: delete a claim
- Shift + left-click: create a Land Deed
Claim names must have 3 to 32 characters and may use letters, numbers, _, and -. Every claim you own must have a different name, including claims on other Pixel Retreat servers.
Stand inside a claim and use /claim resize to choose new corners. A larger claim uses more Land Capacity. A smaller claim gives capacity back.
Deleting a claim ends its protection and returns its Land Capacity. After seven days, the land starts returning to nature unless someone claims it again.
Trusting and Checking
Stand inside your claim before changing trust:
/claim trust <player> - give access until you remove it
/claim untrust <player> - remove access
/claim temptrust <player> - give access until that player leaves the claim
Only trust people you know. Trusted players can build, break blocks, and use blocks.
Click with a stick inside a claim to see its name, owner, and border. Use /claim info for more details or /claim list to see all your claims.
Land Deeds
A Land Deed turns your claim into an item that can be traded or sold. The land is no longer protected while the deed is waiting to be used, and your Land Capacity stays in use.
A deed expires after 30 days. Shift + right-click it to visit the land and see its border. You can inspect the same deed once every two hours. Right-click it to use it and become the new owner.
If you already own a claim with the same name, the new claim receives a free standard name such as claim2 and asks you to rename it.
You need an empty claim spot, enough Land Capacity, and land that is still free. If the deed is in a different region, inspect it first.
You can sell Land Deeds through Auctions. Buyers can preview the land before buying or bidding.
Renting Claims
Use /rent to see claims you can rent. Click a claim name to visit it, or click [rent] to use it for one week. Rent renews each week when you have enough Money.
Use /rent offer <claim name> <price> to offer your own claim. Player-placed containers inside it must be empty first.
While you rent a claim, you can build and use blocks there. When the rental ends, items left in containers placed during the rental move safely to /overflow.
Stopping a Rental
If you own the claim, stand inside it and use /rent remove to remove an empty offer or end an active rental. If an active rental ends early, the renter receives Money back for the unused time. Alle the items that are in storage containers in the specific area, are then transfered to the /overflow of the player.
A rental also ends when the renter cannot pay for the next week or has been offline for 60 days.
Cancelling Your Rent [WIP]
You can cancel your rent by standing in the rental area and typing /rent cancel. The rent is then inmediatly cancelled but the remaining time is not refunded.
